Create an Account and Save Your Login Details
Open the account creation page in the user panel and fill in the form with a username and password. VPNRole doesn’t require an email address; a username and password are all you need to create an account. Choose a username you can easily recognize and a password you don’t use on other sites. Before submitting, check your input method so spaces or similar-looking characters don’t become part of your login details by mistake.
After creating your account, follow the page prompts to open the panel. If you’re returned to the login screen, sign in with the details you just saved. In the account overview, confirm that you’re using the expected account before choosing a plan. If your new account doesn’t have a plan yet, there’s no need to look for routes in the client: it needs an active subscription first. An account being created successfully doesn’t mean a route is ready to connect.
Before leaving this page, save your login details in a password manager and make sure you can find the user panel again. Don’t write your password in a public note or group chat. If your username is unavailable, change it and submit again. If the page says an account already exists, check whether you’ve created one before; repeatedly creating new accounts won’t fix a login problem. See Account and Sign-Up FAQs for more information.
Choose a Plan and Complete Your Order
After signing in, open the plans section in the panel and compare monthly subscriptions with data packages. Monthly subscriptions suit ongoing use, with data resetting each month on the activation date. Data packages are used as you go and never expire. Don’t compare plans on price alone: consider whether you mainly browse and work with documents or regularly stream video and download files. Video quality and file size affect data use, so this guide doesn’t estimate usage by hours online.
Monthly subscriptions: ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, or ¥28/month for 500GB. Data packages: ¥158 for 300GB, ¥358 for 1000GB, or ¥658 for 3000GB. All plans allow unlimited simultaneous devices, but each device doesn’t get a separate data allowance. When estimating usage, consider the combined activity of all devices on the same account. See the plan pricing page for a full comparison.
After choosing a plan, check the plan name, amount, and billing method in your order. Pay using the Alipay, WeChat Pay, or USDT option shown in the panel. Once payment is complete, return to the panel and check the order result and plan status. Don’t rely only on a message on an external page to confirm activation. If the order is still processing, refresh the status or check again later to avoid paying twice for the same plan.
VPNRole offers a 60-day no-questions-asked refund. See the Terms of Service for the refund policy. If you need to upgrade a monthly subscription mid-cycle, the price difference is converted into remaining days; an upgrade doesn’t start a new full billing period. If the order amount or plan status doesn’t match, keep your order details and contact support through a ticket in the panel. Once your plan status is correct, continue to the subscription step.
Get Your Subscription in the Panel
Open the account overview and check that the plan status and data balance match your order. Then find the subscription or client import section. A subscription link isn’t an installer or a web page to keep open in your browser; it lets a client retrieve routes and configuration. First decide which device you’ll use, then choose the import option that matches its client to avoid using the wrong format.
If the client is already installed, use the panel’s one-click import option if available. Your browser may ask whether to open the associated app; check that it’s the expected app before allowing the redirect. When the app opens, look for a prompt to add or save the configuration and confirm it. Opening the app successfully doesn’t mean the subscription has been saved, so check the client’s configuration list afterward.
If one-click import doesn’t open the app, copy the subscription link from the panel. In the client’s subscription or configuration manager, choose the option to add from a URL. Paste the full link without deleting any query parameters or adding quotation marks. Save it and update the subscription; wait for the region or route names to appear. If the configuration list is still empty, make sure you copied the subscription link, not the panel’s web address.
Treat your subscription link like your account credentials. Don’t post it in public group chats, public screenshots, or unfamiliar online conversion tools. When describing a problem in a support ticket, you can include the error message and client name, but don’t expose the full subscription in public. To use another device, return to the panel and get the relevant import option. For help with expired links or failed updates, see Connection and Client FAQs.
Import into a Client for Your Platform
Sign in to the panel and open the client downloads section to get a VPNRole client and subscription for your device. You can get clients for Windows, macOS, Android, and Linux after signing in. Get your subscription after signing in, and make sure your plan is active before using a route. The iOS option depends on your plan status in the panel. This guide doesn’t provide direct installer links or override the panel’s download permissions. The steps below apply to clients with subscription or configuration management features; labels may vary by version.
Windows: Add a Subscription in the Configuration Menu
In the downloads section, choose the Windows client and install it according to the panel’s instructions. Open the client and find “Configuration” or “Subscription” in the sidebar or main window, then choose the option to add by link. If the panel offers one-click import for your client, leave the client open and start the import from your browser. If your system asks whether to open the app, check that it’s the right one before continuing.
Paste the subscription link in the add-configuration screen, save it, and update the subscription. Once the route list appears under the configuration, select it as the active configuration and open the proxy or route selection menu. You don’t need to change advanced network options yet; when you connect, enable the system proxy or connection mode as directed by the client. If one-click import does nothing after installation, import the link manually. There’s no need to reinstall.
macOS: Save the Configuration and Allow Network Access
Choose the macOS client in the panel and select an installer that matches your device and the panel’s instructions. When you first open the app, add the link in its configuration or subscription manager, or launch the app using the panel’s one-click import option. Save the subscription and update it. Check that the route names appear and that the active configuration is the one you just added, not an empty configuration that came with the app.
When you connect, macOS may ask you to approve a network extension, proxy settings, or VPN configuration permissions. Grant permission only to the client you’re installing and using, following the system prompts. If permission is denied, check the relevant prompt in System Settings, then return to the client and try connecting again. Don’t enable multiple network proxy apps to troubleshoot a single import error; doing so makes it harder to tell which app is handling your traffic.
Android: Import the Link and Approve the VPN Connection
Get the Android client from the panel and open it after installation. Open the configuration list and choose an option such as Add Subscription or Import from URL. Paste the link you copied from the panel and save it. If you start a one-click import from your browser, you may still need to confirm the addition in the app. Return to the main screen, check that the configuration is selected, and update the subscription to retrieve the route list.
The first time you connect, Android displays a VPN connection request. Check which app is requesting access, then allow it. This is separate from importing a subscription: saving a configuration doesn’t grant permission to establish a connection. If the connection drops when you switch apps, check whether the system is restricting the client’s background activity, then adjust the relevant setting. You don’t need to change every battery and network setting from the start.
iOS: Get the Client and Add a Configuration from the Panel
Sign in to the panel and choose iOS in the downloads section. The option is available based on your purchased plan’s status and expiry. If the panel displays a plan notice, return to the account overview to check your status and follow the panel’s instructions; don’t look for an alternative installer elsewhere. Get the client using the App Store link provided by the panel, then return to the panel and use the matching one-click import option, or add the link in the client’s subscription manager.
After importing, confirm that the configuration is saved, then choose a route and connect. iOS may ask whether to add a VPN configuration; approve it after confirming that the request comes from the client you’re using. When the VPN indicator appears, check access in the actual app as described in the next section. The indicator only confirms that the system established a connection; it doesn’t prove that the target app meets its regional or account requirements. For more detailed instructions, see the iPhone VPN Setup Guide.
Connect to a Route and Check That It Works
Return to the client’s main screen and confirm that the active configuration is the subscription you just imported. Choose a region based on what you need to do. If the target app has specific regional requirements, choose a matching exit region. For everyday browsing and work, start with a route suited to your current network. A nearby region doesn’t necessarily mean a faster connection; check how it performs on your device. The available route names and options are shown in the client’s updated list.
Connect and enable the system proxy, VPN, or equivalent traffic routing mode as instructed by the client. If it offers rule-based or smart routing, start with the client’s default settings rather than routing all traffic through the same exit just to test it. Once the connection is active, open the IP check page to see your browser’s exit IP. Then open the website or app you actually need and check that sign-in, content loading, and ongoing use work as expected.
Interpret test results in light of the connection mode. With rule-based routing, the test page may use your local network, so an unchanged exit IP doesn’t necessarily mean all connections have failed. Conversely, a changed exit IP doesn’t guarantee that every app uses the same route. If the target app behaves the same as before, fully close and reopen it, then check whether the client is routing its traffic. A test result in the route list alone doesn’t confirm that setup is complete.
If something fails, check these in order: plan status, subscription update, active configuration, connection permissions, and target region. First make sure the subscription updates and displays routes, then try another route that meets your needs. Change one setting at a time so you can identify what made a difference. If results vary between Wi-Fi and another network, note which network you were using when the problem occurred. Repeatedly creating accounts or orders won’t help.
After verifying the connection, you can import the subscription on other devices using the same steps; simultaneous device use is unlimited. When you change routes or the subscription is updated, refresh the configuration in the client and check that your selected route still suits your needs. For common error messages, see the FAQs. To learn more about protocols, traffic routing, and route topology, read the Protocol and Route Technical Reference. For account or order assistance, sign in to the panel and open the support ticket section. Include your operating system, client name, and an error message with sensitive details removed.
